Akira (1988) review
Posted : 8 years, 6 months ago on 11 May 2016 02:18 (A review of Akira (1988))The backdrop is neo-Tokyo after the third WW, where we follow some youngsters who have nothing else to do than ride bikes & and take pills. It's a VERY violent film, as it will knock you to the floor and keep you there. The animation is by far the most fantastic i've ever seen, with excellent coloring.
Of course, like manga, it blows completely out of proportions for an eye-dazzling ending.
I recommend the big LaserDisc release, with an amazing making-of.

Inception review
Posted : 8 years, 6 months ago on 11 May 2016 02:16 (A review of Inception)Leonardo D. is solid as usual, Ellen Page is good but she suffers from looking too young to have qualified as an architect.
I would struggle to think of any reason to recommend this film to anyone to watch because beyond the sight of Paris folding over there is nothing else to recommend. Not enough tension within the plot so I didn't actually care about the characters.
Looks good but not a great film.

“RAMS is an Icelandic saga of the highest order, not of Kings, but of the Icelandic sheep farmer. There are battles, but the opponents are nature, the struggles of human relationship, and the hardships of life. It is a saga of and for the working man,” read more

“This film has great effects. That is about all I can say because I found its plot instantly forgettable. Slickly directed, it is a visual treat.
